As well as the maize and beans we are able to purchase from local farmers we buy additional foodstuffs for school meals and firewood for the stove every term – Milton and the headteacher organise the purchasing and transport.
Our Livingstone International University students traditionally look out for each other and support each other. Diana took (L to R ) Godiva, Peace, Esther and our new student Joyce for lunch to cement that friendship and share experiences.
In view of the large number of children in the Nursery Section of Jackie School we have decided that completing the unfinished building to create extra teaching space and a storage room for phonics materials is a priority.
. As you can see Milton has been busily purchasing the necessary materials and engaging labourers and engineers. There will be an update on progress next month!
This is Everline who graduated with first class honours in IT. Our sponsored students have all battled a lot of adversity to gain a place at Livingstone International University, so we are very proud when their achievements demonstrate that they really deserved to access tertiary education. Everline has a temporary job in a stationery and cybercafé whilst she looks for a graduate job. You can help girls like Everline achieve their dreams by part sponsoring a student from £30 per month.
