The sponsored students at Livingstone International University went out for a Christmas lunch after completing their exams and before returning to their families for Christmas. We are always seeking more sponsors able to help these deserving young women achieve their ambition of getting a degree – please email us at 3huganda@gmail.com if you might be interested.

Sixty eight older people from Kyemula received rice, sugar, salt, cooking oil, tea leaves and soap powder as Christmas gifts from 3H, with 20 of the most needy also receiving new blankets. Christmas in Uganda is very much a Christian celebration, gifts are not usually given but everyone hopes to have a special meal and to wear their best clothes.

The Holiday Lunch Club is operating three days a week throughout the long school holidays to ensure that the most vulnerable children are receiving some support at a time when their families may struggle to provide food etc.  Milton distributed sweets and sodas – all the children have a sweet tooth and love a sugary treat!

December is our charity year end so we are currently preparing our accounts for the auditors, making our claim for Gift Aid and completing our forward plans for 2025. Both the Holiday Lunch Club and termly Health Clinic which we trialled in 2024 have been popular and we have definitely improved the general health of the pupils so we intend to continue these as a regular element of the work.  However, every extra project needs funding and we need to look at how this can be sustained. More on this to come!!
